Staff of Nigerian Communications Commission (NCC) today Saturday, 27th July, joined thousands of other public servants from various Ministries, Departments and Agencies (MDAs) at the Federal Government (FG)'s Keep-Fit Walking and Jogging Exercise.

The Commission's participation at the monthly exercise organised by the Federation of Public Service Games (FEPSGA) at the Moshood Abiola Stadium, Abuja was in tandem with the NCC's culture of keeping its staff fit and healthy for optimum performance and productivity on their jobs.

FEPSGA is the body established with the aim of promoting unity amongst Federal Public Servants as well as encouraging fitness.
The monthly exercise, which featured aerobics, jogging, footballing, among others, provided unique opportunity for the staff of the NCC, as a critical agency of the Federal Ministry of Communications to, once again, keep themselves healthy as well as fit workforce.

Participating members of staff applauded the approval by the Executive Vice Chairman of the Commission, Prof. Umar Garba Danbatta, authorising their participation at the monthly exercise.

It would be recalled that the Commission, in line with its philosophy of keeping a healthy workforce, held the second edition of its Quarterly Wellness Programme for this year on
Saturday, 5th July, 2019, in Abuja.
The programme, which the Commission has been holding consistently, was introduced few years ago to reduce stress, keep staff in shape and educate them on the need to monitor body signs that may indicate ill-health.
