The Nigerian Communications Commission’s Computer Security Incident Response Team (CSIRT) has discovered a newly-hatched malicious software that steals users’ banking app login credentials on Android devices.
According to a security advisory from the NCC CSIRT, the malicious software called “Xenomorph”, found to target 56 financial institutions from Europe, has high impact and high vulnerability rate. The main intent of this malware is to steal credentials, combined with the use of SMS and Notification interception to log-in and use potential 2-factor authentication tokens.

Provisional winners of the 3.5 Gigahertz (GHz) spectrum licence, MTN Communications Nigeria Plc and Mafab Communications Limited, have made their full payment of $273.6 million each for the 5G Spectrum license to the Nigerian Communications Commission.
The Executive Vice Chairman of the Nigerian Communications Commission (NCC), Prof. Umar Danbatta, officially confirmed the payment status today, February 24, 2022, just as the deadline set for the two winners of the spectrum auction elapsed.

The Nigerian Communications Commission (NCC) has assured the Kaduna Chamber of Commerce, Industry, Mines and Agriculture (KADCCIMA) of its continuous support and partnership, because the Chamber’s initiatives, programmes and activities are purposively targeted at enhancing Nigeria’s growth and socio-economic development.
Professor Umar Danbatta, the Executive Vice Chairman of the NCC gave the assurance recently while receiving a delegation from KADCCIMA which paid a courtesy visit to the Management of the Commission. Speaking through Adeleke Adewolu, Executive Commissioner Stakeholder Management of NCC, who received KADCCIMA delegation, Danbatta also announced that NCC will participate in the 2022 Kaduna International Trade Fair.
