The Nigerian Communications Commission (NCC) is set to recharge consumer management processes in line with the speed of the emergent digital culture.
The Consumer Affairs Bureau (CAB) of the Commission set the tone with the resolutions at its 2019 retreat tagged, "Consumer Experience in the Era of Rapid Digital Evolution", held recently at the 600-seater auditorium of the NCC Head Office Annex, Mbora District, Abuja.

Ahead of the 2020 launch of the Fifth Generation (5G) telecommunications services in Nigeria, the Nigerian Communications Commission (NCC) this afternoon (25/11/2019), enthusiastically supervised the execution of the proof of concept trial of 5G telecom services by MTN Communications, a leading network operator in Nigeria.
The demonstration, which took place at the Regional Office of MTN in Maitama Abuja, was witnessed by the Minister of Communications and Digital Economy, Dr. Ali Ibrahim Pantami; Chairman, NCC Board, Otunba Olabiyi Durojaiye; Executive Vice Chairman of NCC, Prof. Umar Danbatta; Chairman MTN Board, Dr. Ernest Ndukwe; Chairman, House of Representatives Committee on Telecommunications, Hon. Adeniyi Adeyemi and his deputy, Hon. Unyime Idem; former Secretary for Health in the Interim National Government, Prince Adelusi Adeluyi; Muhammad Ahmad, pioneer Director General of National Pension Commission and many other stakeholders.

- Inaugurates multi-sectoral C’ttee to tackle e-fraud.
In fulfillment of one of its fundamental statutory responsibilities of protecting the interests of the consumers of telecoms services, the Nigerian Communications Commission (NCC) earlier today (20/11/2019) inaugurated a multi-sectoral committee to develop a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) on financial frauds also called electronic fraud (e-fraud) which are perpetrated through digital platforms.

The Deputy Head of Mission at the Embassy of Italy in Abuja, Tarek Chazli, today (20/11/2019) paid a courtesy visit to the Nigerian Communications Commission to strengthen the proposition by Telecom Italia Sparkle (TIS) to be a player in the Nigerian telecom sector.
Accompanied by Stefano Olivieri, TIS Head of Sales, Africa & Middle East; and Dindam Killi, a Senior Associate at Aluko & Oyebode - consultants to TIS, Chazli stated that Telecom Italia Sparkle as a leading player in international telecom business recognises the place of Nigeria in Africa's telecom ecosystem and desires to be a player in the telecom sector.

The ongoing drive by the Nigerian Communications Commission (NCC) to mobilise industry supports to address challenges inhibiting Information and Communication Technology (ICT) infrastructure development in Nigeria in order to enhance a robust digital culture has been amplified by speakers at the Realnews Magazine 7th Anniversary Lecture.
The anniversary lecture, held at the Sheraton Hotel, Ikeja, Lagos on Tuesday (19/11/2019), was supported by the NCC and the Executive Vice Chairman of the Commission, Prof. Umar Danbatta was represented at the event by Dr. Henry Nkemadu, NCC's Director Public Affairs.
