The Nigeria Internet Governance Forum (NIGF) is an event organized by the NIGF Multi-Stakeholder Advisory Group (MAG) comprising stakeholders including the Federal Ministry of Communications, Innovation, and Digital Economy (FMCDE), National Information Technology Development Agency (NITDA), Nigerian Communications Commission (NCC), Nigeria Internet Registration Association (NIRA), Internet Society Nigeria Chapter (ISOC NG), DigitalSENSE Africa Media (DSA), in collaboration with other Nigerian stakeholders.

This year’s event will focus on engaging the multi-stakeholder nature of the NIGF to harness and aggregate productive ideas, best practices, and experiences towards facilitating a safer and more inclusive digital future for all Nigerians, taking into consideration the role of balancing regulation, cybersecurity, and the new emerging technologies as an approach to strengthening national policies towards the same outcome.

The outcome is expected to build consensus among stakeholders on actionable recommendations for both state and non-state actors in the Internet ecosystem. This forum will also advance the nation’s position at the regional and global Internet Governance Forum (IGF).

Join us to discuss some of today’s most pressing Internet Governance and Digital Policy Issues at the: NIGF 2023 with the THEME: Towards a Secure and Inclusive Digital Future for Nigeria: Balancing Regulation, Cybersecurity, and Emerging Technologies on the 13th – 14th September 2023 by 10:00 am.
