Universal Service Provision Secretariat

The Universal Service Provision Secretariat is responsible for the day-to-day administration of the Universal Service Provision Fund. The USPS is resident in the Commission and is charged with ensuring the accomplishment of the goals of the USPF by identifying the market efficiency and access gaps and designing incentives that would promote the rollout of sustainable ICT services in rural, unserved, and underserved areas. The USPS also facilitates the availability of transmission infrastructure and connection to the national backbone in all LGAs, and also to drive increasing access to data and voice services and provide a platform for universal service.
