The Technical Standards & Network Integrity Department reports to the ECTS. It is responsible for the technical regulation of the communications industry in Nigeria. The Department reviews, develops, and publishes Technical Standards for the industry in line with international best practices; carries out Quality of Service tests of operators' services; administers the National Numbering Plan (NNP); and carries out type approvals of telecommunications equipment including Radio Frequency (RF) Conformance and Radiated Spurious Emission and Electromagnetic Compatibility (EMC) Testing.
