Hon. Barr. Chris Okorie, JP, is a seasoned legal practitioner, public administrator and community leader with over 35 years of post-call experience. He hails from Ibio Edem Urua in Etim Ekpo Local Government Area of Akwa Ibom State.
A highly accomplished lawyer, he holds an LL.B from the University of Cross River State, a BL from the Nigerian Law School, and an LL.M from the University of Uyo. His professional career spans legal practice, academia, public administration, and political leadership. He has served as Legal Officer at Afribank, Law Lecturer at the University of Uyo, Associate Partner and Partner in notable law firms, and Principal Partner of The Integrity Law Firm, which he has led since 2005.
Hon. Okorie also has extensive public service experience, notably as Executive Chairman of Etim Ekpo Local Government Area and Special Assistant to the Governor on Electoral Matters. He has played key roles in numerous political, youth and community organizations for over four decades.
A distinguished and decorated leader, he has received over 50 awards and recognitions from reputable national and international bodies for excellence in leadership, community development, public administration, and humanitarian service. He also holds several respected traditional titles across Akwa Ibom State.
Hon. Okorie is a Fellow and member of multiple professional bodies, including the Nigerian Bar Association (NBA), the Institute of Public Administrators of Nigeria, the Certified Board of Administrators, and others.
Widely respected for his commitment to service, integrity, and human development, Hon. Barr. Chris Okorie continues to contribute meaningfully to governance, legal practice, and community advancement. He is married and blessed with five children.
