The Executive Vice Chairman and Chief Executive (EVC/CE) of the Nigerian Communications Commission (NCC), Prof. Umar Danbatta recently hosted top officials of the British High Commission (BHC) at the NCC Head Office in Abuja.
The BHC team, lead by Guy Harrison, Head of Prosperity at the British High Commission, came to deepen the conversations about partnering with the NCC in the execution of the Global Digital Access Programme initiated by Her Majesty's Government.

The Executive Vice Chairman (EVC) of the Nigerian Communications Commission (NCC), Prof. Umar Danbatta has restated that the Commission places a great value on and prioritises all consumer-related issues in its regulatory activities. He also affirmed that the Commission would warmly receive useful feedbacks that may enhance effective regulation.
Danbatta stated this when he received a delegation of the National Association of Telecoms Subscribers (NATCOMS) which paid a courtesy visit to the Management of the Commission yesterday (13/11/2019) in Abuja.

The Nigerian Communications Commission (NCC) recently held a two-day workshop in Lagos to sensitise stakeholders in the telecom industry on the implications of the African Continental Free Trade Area (AfCFTA) Agreement. The workshop, which took place at Four Points By Sheraton Hotel, followed a similarly focused workshop held in Kano last week.
A free trade agreement is a commitment by two or more countries to remove tariffs and certain restrictions in order to ensure free movement of goods and services, to improve and increase trading among them. All African countries, save for Eritrea, committed themselves to establishing a free trade area that will make Africa a single market by signing the AfCFTA Agreement.

In keeping with its commitment to child online protection, the Nigerian Communications Commission (NCC) has heightened its sensitization outreach to special categories of stakeholders.
In the latest case, the Lagos Zonal Office of the Commission recently organised a cybercrime awareness programme targeting children of Wahab Folawiyo Junior and Senior High Schools as well as Government Junior College, Maroko both in Lagos State.

The Executive Vice Chairman and Chief Executive (EVC/CE) of the Nigerian Communications Commission, Prof. Umar Danbatta, this afternoon led a team of Management staff from the Commission to pay a courtesy call on the Speaker, Federal House of Representatives, Right Honourable Femi Gbajabiamila at the latter's office in the National Assembly.
Danbatta was accompanied on the visit by the Executive Commissioner Stakeholder Management of NCC, Mr. Adeleke Adewolu, the Commission's Director Public Affairs, Dr. Henry Nkemadu, and Head, Legislative and Government Relations, Bashir Bello.
