The Nigerian Communications Commission (NCC) has taken discussion on the need for states to encourage Information and Communication Technology (ICT) investment drive, digital innovation and local content development in the digital ecosystem in the North-Easthern geo-political zone of Nigeria.
This was the fulcrum of stakeholders' discussion at the Emerging Tech Research & Innovation Forum organised by the Commission at the Library Auditorium, American University of Nigeria, (AUN), Yola, Adamawa, where five Executive Governors from Adamawa, Borno, Gombe, Taraba and Yobe from the geo-political zone were duly represented.

The Executive Vice Chairman (EVC) of the Nigerian Communications Commission (NCC), Prof. Garba Danbatta has re-echoed the commitment of the Commission to unleash more connectivity in digital economy to drive the frontiers of the industrial growth in Nigeria.

The Executive Vice Chairman (EVC) of the Nigerian Communications Commission (NCC), Prof. Umar Danbatta, has reiterated that the Commission's drive for pervasive Broadband penetration is crucial to deepening access and availability of e-government services to citizens.
Danbatta affirmed this in a keynote address delivered at the well-attended maiden edition of The Nigeria e-Government Conference organised by DigiServe Networks held at Sheraton, Lagos on Thursday (24/10/2019).
