Zonal Controller, Lagos Office of the NCC, Kenneth Uzoekwe, in his presentation thanked the Commissioners for the visit, took them through key aspects of zonal operations, appreciated the Board's vision in recreating the Department of Zonal Operations, and requested  the establishment of more zonal offices to enable more Nigerians to feel the impact of the Commission more directly, especially in keeping with Commission's determination to implement concretely the activities lined up for Year of the Nigerian Telecom Consumer programme.

Mr. Uzoekwe told the Commissioners that staff of the Lagos Zonal Office are capable, ready and willing to implement all zonal responsibilities and other ancillary duties that may be assigned to them to enable the Commission to accomplish its mandate.

The Commissioners were accompanied on the visit by the Head of Commission Secretariat (the department of NCC in charge of Board Affairs), Ms. Helen Obi; and Mr. Augustine Odo, a Deputy Director in the Corporate Planning and Strategy Department.
