Consistent with its commitment to continuously engage with telecom consumers to deepen the level of education through information exchange, the Nigerian Communications Commission (NCC) is re-commencing a radio phone-in programme on Inspiration Radio, 92.3 FM on June 5, 2019.

The programme will be broadcast every fortnight at 11am.

An initiative of the Lagos Zonal Office, the radio programme is instituted as another expression of the fulfillment of the 6th item on the 8-Point Agenda of the Commission unveiled in February 2016 by the Executive Vice Chairman, Prof. Umar Danbatta. The overarching objective is to protect the telecom consumer by providing him with sufficient information that enables him to navigate the challenges he may encounter in telecom service provision.

Four episodes of the programme were aired in the past and were structured to elicit feedback on the consumers’ experience with various telecoms services. The past editions focused on: Unsolicited Messages; and issues about SIM Registration such as the impropriety of dealing in pre-Registered SIM Cards; Understanding SIM Swap as well as SIM Replacement Procedures. Telecom consumers and other stakeholders are requested to be part of the programme.
