Danbatta stated this today when he recieved the Management of Viasat who came on a courtesy visit at the Commission's head office in Abuja. The Viasat team was led by Lars Stork, a Senior Advisor. Viasat is a global satellite communications company.

The Executive Vice Chairman (EVC) of the Nigerian Communications Commission (NCC), Prof. Umar Danbatta, has said the Commission was gratified by the interest shown by Viasat in the ever-expanding telecommunication industry in Nigeria and he assured that NCC looked forward to working with the company to provide accessible and affordable broadband services to the Nigerian market.
