-Restates commitment to QoS
The Nigerian Communications Commission (NCC) has, again, emphasised the need for telecom consumers and the general public to consciously join hands in protecting telecom infrastructure and regard them as “collectively owned” crucial and essential for the provision of good Quality of Service (QoS).
Director, Zonal Operations, NCC, Mrs. Amina Shehu, made the call during a sensitisation programme on protection of telecoms infrastructure organised by the Commission in Eggon Local Government Area, Nasarawa State on Friday.

The Nigerian Communications Commission (NCC) has been described by experts and stakeholders at a two-day Nigeria Innovation Summit (NIS-2019) as "best example of government regulatory agency" in Nigeria.
Dr. Andrew Nevin, Advisory Partner and Chief Economist, PriceWaterhouseCooper (PWC) West Africa, one of the world's leading consulting organisations, gave the first remarks during a panel session on Wednesday being the second day of the NIS-2019, which started in Lagos August 20, 2019.

VIDEO: EVC NCC charges African telecom regulators to prioritize consumer protection
The Executive Vice Chairman of the Nigerian Communications Commission (NCC), Prof. Umar Garba Danbatta, has called on regulators of telecommunications sectors across the African continent to place primacy on regulatory measures to adequately protect telecoms consumers in their respective countries.
Danbatta stated this at the second edition of a three-day Conference of African Telecommunications Regulators on Consumer Affairs, (CATCO) which kicked off at the Transcorp Hilton Hotel, Abuja today (August 20th).

The Nigerian Communications Commission (NCC) has, again, underscored the importance of robust broadband infrastructure as cornerstone of digital innovations for economic development.
Executive Vice Chairman and Chief Executive of the Commission, Prof. Umar Garba Danbatta, who stated this in a keynote address at the fourth edition of the Nigeria Innovation Summit (NIS) with the theme: "Accelerating Nigeria’s Economic Growth through Innovation” also enumerated policy initiatives the NCC has been implementing towards bridging identified infrastructure gap in the telecom industry.
