The Nigerian Communications Commission (NCC) has again appealed to telecom consumers to join hands with the Commission in its efforts to ensure the protection of telecom infrastructure. The NCC wants citizens to take interest in the security of telecom infrastructure within and around their localities because safe and secured infrastructure is a correlate of good quality of service (QoS) delivery.

The Executive Vice Chairman of Nigerian Communications Commission, (NCC), Prof. Umar Danbatta, has said that the protection and empowerment of the over 174.9 million active telecom subscribers in Nigeria remains a priority to the Commission.
He said this is in line with the Commission's belief that the consumer remains the king always and particularly so for the telecom industry.

Many telecoms consumers resident in Oyo State have hailed the Nigerian Communications Commission (NCC) for its continuous sensitisation of consumers on the challenges of cybercrime and how the Commission is educating the consumers on online protection.
The consumers expressed their appreciation at the 53rd Edition of the Consumer Town Hall Meeting (CTM) which took place at Ilora, in Oyo State on Thursday, September 19, 2019. The theme of the Outreach focused on the role role of the consumers in mitigating the effects of cybercrimes.

The Kano Zonal Office of the Nigerian Communication Commission has continued to employ a ‘push approach’ in its activities in order to enhance the impact of consumer engagement and education.
This proactive approach which focuses on 'meet and engage' was given fine expression on two different occasions in Kano recently. The first was at a sensitisation programme organised at the premises of "Fara Uwa Association for Women, Divorcees, Widows, orphans and the less privileged" held in Kano on Friday, September 13, 2019.
