The Executive Vice Chairman (EVC) of the Nigerian Communications Commission (NCC), Prof. Umar Danbatta, has said the Commission was gratified by the interest shown by Viasat in the ever-expanding telecommunication industry in Nigeria and he assured that NCC looked forward to working with the company to provide accessible and affordable broadband services to the Nigerian market.

The Executive Vice Chairman of the Nigerian Communications Commission (NCC), Prof. Umar Garba Danbatta has said the Commission in line with its mandate will continue to collaborate with the industry's stakeholders especially on the issue of cyber crime.
Danbatta reiterated this at the 88th Edition of Telecom Consumer Parliament with the theme ‘’Challenges of Cybercrime: The Role of the Telecoms Service Providers’’ which held yesterday in Abuja.

The Executive Vice Chairman and Chief Executive (EVC/CE) of the Nigerian Communications Commission (NCC), Prof. Umar Garba Danbatta has declared that 119 million subscribers now access the Internet in Nigeria as at April 2019.
He made the declaration to emphasize that broadband services are transforming the way and manner people live, work and play, and in patterns and tempo humanity never witnessed before.

Sunday Dare, Executive Commissioner Stakeholder Management, Nigerian Communications Commission (NCC) has stated that the growth and seamless operations of telecoms infrastructure is critical to the social and economic growth of States and Communities in Nigeria.
Dare, represented by Alkasim Umar, Head Compliance Monitoring, NCC, stated this in a keynote address at the Regional Stakeholders Parliament held by NCC to engage with Relevant State Agencies in Charge of Telecommunications Matters, on 27 June, 2019 in Enugu.
