Students of the University of Port Harcourt, yesterday had their turn to experience the meaning of consumer protection, and strategic collaboration and partnership drive of the Nigerian Communications Commission, NCC, as the team from the Commission's Port Harcourt Zonal Office met with the students on their campus to discuss a wide range issues connected to telecom consumer protection and strategic collaboration with telecom stakeholders.
Woyengikuro George, Principal Manager at the Zonal Office, who led the NCC team to the campus outlined and undertook extensive discussion with the students on a wide range of issues about NCC activities to inform and educate the students on how best to take advantage of the Commission’s consumer-centric initiatives.

The Nigerian Communications Commission, NCC, has stated that it is irrevocably committed to strategic partnering and collaboration with relevant stakeholders in the country to deepen digital transformation of the economy.
Shuaibu Swade, Controller of NCC Zonal Office in Kano affirmed this yesterday when he received a delegation from the Centre for Information Technology and Development (CITAD) which came on a courtesy visit to the Zonal Office.

The Nigerian Communications Commission is set for its maiden edition of the Emerging Telecoms Technologies Research and ICT Innovation forum which will hold at Tayo Aderinokun Hall by Unilag Guest House, University of Lagos, Lagos State from the 10th -11th of June, 2019.
The Forum’s theme: “Developing Nigeria’s Tech Ecosystem: Imperative for Improving Local Content”, according to the initiator - the Nigerian Communication Commission (NCC) – is in line with the Commission’s commitment to promoting ICT innovation and investment opportunities and facilitating strategic collaboration and partnership.

The Nigerian Communications Commission, NCC, has said every telecom consumer, however circumstanced, has a right to information which he or she may require to take informed decisions about subscribing to telecom services in Nigeria.
The Nigerian telecom regulatory agency reiterated this message of thematization of information exchange as the central plank of consumer relations, yesterday, at the 2019 second edition of the Consumer Conversation Forum (CCF) held at Kenneth Dike Memorial Grammar School, Awka, Anambra State.

Following earlier engagements with the Catholic and ECWA Churches to create awareness about the activities of the Nigerian Communications Commission (NCC), the Kano Zonal Office of the Commission recently met members of the Ashabul Kahfi of the Qadiriya Islamic sect to discuss NCC activities and how they affect the sect as part of the growing community of telecom consumers.
Faith-Based Organisations (FBOs) are religious bodies and institutions considered special groups of stakeholders with which the NCC has continued to deepen its engagement to popularise its activities, carry out sensitization about emergent telecom issues, and to provide sufficient information and education on how to manage challenges members of such bodies may encounter as telecom consumers.
