The Nigerian Communications Commission (NCC) has urged the Mobile Network Operator (MNOs) and their Site Built Contractors (SBCs) to adhere strictly to the guidelines and technical specifications approved by the Commission when building telecoms towers.
Yomi Arowosafe, Controller, NCC Zonal Office Ibadan, gave this charge during a meeting recently held by the Zonal Office with the MNOs and the SBCs as part of the Commission’s strategic collaborative engagement with the MNOs, Collocation and Infrastructure Sharing Licensees, and the SBCs.

The Nigerian Communications Commission (NCC) has re-assured Nigerians that there is no iota of truth in media speculations that 95.7 million Subscriber Identification Module (SIM) data have been rendered invalid due to alleged poor deployment of technology, saying continuous data verification is a global practice. It is a continuous exercise.
In a chat with journalists recently, the Executive Commissioner, Stakeholder Management, NCC, Mr Sunday Dare stated that what is happening currently is that subscriber data so far captured by Mobile Network Operators (MNOs), as well as data captured by other statutory agencies are being cleaned-up, verified and harmonised in accordance with the Act setting up the National Identity Management Commission (NIMC) and a Directive of the Federal Executive Council (FEC).

"James Kunle Olorundare of the Technical Standards and Network Integrity Department of Nigerian Communications Commission, recently in Lagos won the ‘Best Regulatory Engineer of the Year’ at the Beacon of Information and Communication Technology (BOICT) Awards.

The Kano Zonal Office of the Nigerian Communications Commission is hosting the periodic rotational meeting of Zonal Operations Department of the Commission.
The meeting which started this morning is chaired by Sumday Dare, Commission's Executive Commissioner Stakeholder Management whose Office superintends Zonal Operations Directorate.
