The Executive Vice Chairman of NCC, Professor Umar Garba Danbatta received a delegation from the newly elected National Executive Council of the Association of Telecommunication Companies of Nigeria (ATCON) on June 07,2018.
The President of the Association, Olusola Teniola stated that they have come to express their interest in working with the Commission and promised to ensure the EVC's tenure in the Commission would never be forgotten in the history of the Nigerian telecom sector.

Reuben Muoka, Head Public Relations, Nigerian Communications Commission represented Tony Ojobo, Director Public Affairs on day 2 of the Digital PayExpo event June 6, 2018, and delivered a perspective paper: Drive Towards Digital Economy: The Journey So Far.
Ojobo in his conclusion and summary of the presentation stated that “Digital economy is an inevitable phenomenon of the growth potentials of the dynamic ICT industry to which economies and nations of the world cannot resist. The biggest economies of the world are pursuing it with more vigour, and nations like Nigeria, with an internationally acclaimed telecom regulator, has not been left out in this pursuit.”

The Nigerian Communications Commission (NCC), the Central Bank of Nigeria (CBN), the National InterBank Settlement System (NIBSS) representatives of Commercial Banks of Nigeria and experts on Financials and Banking from the African Continent converged at the 18th Digital PayExpo 2018 Annual Conference and Exhibition at the Sheraton Hotel and Suites, Lagos, to discuss a matter of topical importance with a thematic focus on: “Innovative Financial Services for the Vast Unserved Segments.”

The Nigerian Communications Commission, the independent regulator of the Nigerian Telecommunications industry, restated its commitment to accelerate the growth of the telecoms sector for economic diversification, at the Digital Africa Conference & Exhibition Forum, holding at the YarAdua Centre in Abuja from 5th - 7th June, 2018.
The Commission formulated a strategic Vision Plan known as the 8-Point Agenda to achieve this stated the Executive Vice Chairman of the Nigerian Communication Commission, Professor Umar Garba Danbatta, through Funlola Akiode, Director Licensing and Authorization, NCC.

The Executive Vice Chairman of Nigerian Communications Commission, Professor Umar Garba Danbatta received a delegation from the Nigerian Academy of Engineering on May 31, 2018.
The Vice President of the Nigerian Academy of Engineering, Professor. Fola Lasisi who led the delegation stated in his opening remarks that they have come to express appreciation of the support accorded to them and to strengthen their relationship with the Commission.
